John Belardo Sculpture drawing

This page shows Mr. Belardo's series of bozzetti.  A bozzetto is a small maquette or sketch, usually from life, in which ideas are generated.  This long tradition spans eons of sculpture practice. 

Mr. Belardo runs a class at the Art Students League of NY and the New York Academy of Art, where this practice is maintained.  The work is from life and is short-pose, between 20 minutes and 2 hours.
